our story

Tucked away on the banks of the River Spey, The Old Bridge Inn has been part of Aviemore life for generations. Once a humble gamekeeper’s cottage, it’s grown into a gathering place for locals, travellers, and those who find comfort in good food, good drink, and good company.

The pub has seen many faces through its doors - staff, musicians, families, and friends and it’s bigger than any one person. As Owen puts it, “The Old Bridge was here long before me, and it’ll still be here long after.” That sense of continuity runs through everything we do.

Our aim is simple: to keep the fire lit, the beer flowing, and the welcome genuine. The kind of place where stories are shared by the hearth, where dogs nap under tables, and the Spey sets the pace just outside the door.

Alongside the pub, our Bunkhouse offers a place to rest and reset, a home for explorers, paddlers, skiers, and those who just want to soak in the Highlands a little longer.

This is a place that belongs to Aviemore, shaped by the landscape, the people, and the time spent here
