Terms & conditions
Group bookings
Stag/hen parties, or other large groups, will normally be asked* to take sole occupancy of the bunkhouse, availability permitting, at a rate of £1175 per night.
The Leader (person who has made the booking) is the responsible named person and is responsible for the following: -
50% deposit payable at time of booking
Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Provide a list of names of all members in the group, 3 weeks prior to arrival.

Any smoking in the building will be charged at a deduction of £300. Any damage to any fire fighting equipment, or any call out of the fire service due to alarms triggered by smoking on the premises, will be charged at £500.
*at our discretion we may consider relaxing the sole use requirement, depending on the timing of your visit, nature of your trip, make up of your group etc. In these cases, a security deposit will still be required and if any complaints should be received from other guests relating to your group, we reserve the right to retain your full deposit. i.e. do not pretend you are not a stag in order to have your booking taken. It will quickly become apparent and cost you in the end. Any behaviour disturbing others may result in immediate eviction, with no refund.
Reservation Policy
Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned.
Full payment is taken at the time of booking. In addition, a £150 pre-authorization hold is placed on your credit card on your date of arrival. The £150 charge will be returned to your card upon successful departure, dependent upon your bank’s policy, in 3–10 business days. Any damage or theft will be charged against this amount.

Age Restrictions
Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for them. Adults with minors will be asked to rent family rooms, rather than share with others in dorms.
Groups and families are required to have suitable numbers of adults to ensure the good conduct and safety of party members and other guests. All decisions in this regard are at the discretion of the Bunkhouse staff.
Responsible adults are required to familiarise themselves with safety and emergency issues and actively consider the risks associated with hazards, including bunk beds, kitchen equipment, water and road traffic. Your attention is drawn to the proximity of the road in front of the Bunkhouse and the hazards associated with the River Spey opposite. Parents or guardians of young children are advised that persons under 7 years are recommended not to occupy upper bunks.

We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time, or remove any person, or persons (or persons being responsible for others), due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property, or causing, or likely to cause injury, annoyance, or offence to other guests. Please do not park where cones are laid out.
Please note, our riverside car park is a flood plain. At times of extremely wet weather, or rapid snow melt, flooding may occur.
Shared Kitchen Policy
Please practice safe cooking habits do not leave burners on unattended. Please do not wedge open the kitchen door, as smoke and smells travel and you risk triggering the smoke alarm (which calls out the fire brigade!).
You are welcome to spend time socialising in the kitchen – and we hope you will, meeting fellow guests – but please respect others right to use the facilities too. Please wash, dry and put away all items used and fully clean up after yourself, using the cleaning supplies and recycling bins provided.
Pet Policy
Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two pets are allowed in our pet friendly room, at a flat rate of £10 per stay. Just make sure your furry friends do their business outside and you pick up after them and use our bins outside. Please keep them on a leash when outside your room. No pets in the kitchen please. Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms at any time.
Pets are not permitted on the beds, but they should enjoy our lovely underfloor heating.
While there is a set £10 pet fee, there is a £150 deposit required in the form of a credit card pre-authorization. Should your furry friend shed a great amount or have an accident in the room, a cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file to the amount of £50. Should your pet cause property or item damage, an incidental fee will be charged at market value to your credit card on file. Any funds remaining from the pre-authorized amount will be released after check-out and, dependent upon your bank’s policy, will reflect on your account within 3-10 business days. No cats or venomous creatures.
Noise & Disturbance
Please consider others. Guests are expected to consider the consequences of their actions and to minimise any noise, especially between 10pm and 8.30am. No late night disturbance will be tolerated (or very, very early). If you are up and hitting the hills early, please also be considerate and recognise others’ right to sleep.
Accommodation
If for any reason the accommodation is unsatisfactory, please inform us immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. We cannot accept subsequent claims for shortcomings not so notified.

The booking is made on the understanding that we will make the accommodation and amenities available to you on the dates stated. Should this not be possible for reasons within our due care we will endeavour to provide you with suitable alternative accommodation. Should no other accommodation be available at the time we will offer you alternative dates or refund of your monies, but you will have no other claim or remedy against us.
