I am writing to thank you for your contribution to the Lifeboats that resulted from your celebrating S.O.S Day at the Old Bridge Inn. Thank you very much indeed. As you know, Lifeboats continue to be an entirely voluntary Institution and so all contributuions are very gratefully received. I understand, also, you have to be congratulated on completing the ARC. My partner and I visited the Old Bridge Inn a few weeks ago to attend the Aviemore Beer Festival. I must apologise for not contacting you before now to express my thanks for making the experience so enjoyable. When we entered the bar we were met by a member of staff who explained the fact that two bars had been set up and which beers were available where. he kindly showed us where to hang our coats and then came to serve us as we were deciding which of the many beers to sample. This friendliness set the tone for the rest of the evening despite the pub being very busy. The entire service was excellent from each and every member of staff serving behind the two bars and serving food. The food itself was truly wonderful and was reasonably priced, with a very extensive menu on offer, particularly considering the demand resulting from the Beer Festival. Before we visited you I noticed that you featured in the "Scotland the Best" publication, which I have found to be a very accurate guide. Yet again the guide was reliable but perhaps understates your establishment. Again, many thanks to your staff for such wonderful service. We will certainly return.
