Restaurant

View of the dinning area

In our cosy, candle-lit, conservatory restaurant, we aim to offer some of the best food you will find in the Highlands.  We have a huge respect for our surroundings and work closely with local farmers and suppliers, to keep the menu as full of local delights as possible.  Dishes with Aviemore wild mallard, Alvie brown trout, Morayshire venison and black-faced lamb are just a few examples of how we like to keep things local.  From an environmental stand point, it's important to us to keep our "food miles" down, but we also take great pleasure in supporting our neighboring producers and suppliers.  And at the end of the day, the food that ends up on your plate will only ever taste better for being the freshest possible, having been sourced so locally.

Drawing on a culinary career winning and keeping multiple AA rosettes, serving the natives of Barcelona and shaping high end bistros and restaurants around Scotland, Head Chef Chris McCall and his team offer a modern Scottish menu, with more than a hint of European influence, which always stays true to the benchmark in quality that is Speyside..

Enjoy your supper with service from friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff (including OBI's two co-owner/managers, Owen and Kim), in our romantic candle-lit conservatory, or by the fire in the cosy bar area.
