The main feature that catches the eye on entering the Old Bridge Inn is the huge bell (see below) at the end of the bar, salvaged from an old church ruin. Following this, your eye wonders around the setting to reveal a number of interesting artefacts celebrating Bridge of Allan's rich history. The old photographs of this historic Spa town are just wonderful to cast a look at, and the thick sandstone walls create an impression of warmth and cosiness.

Traditional Surroundings

Real log burning fires.

The visual ambience is classically complimented by the slight smell of a welcoming open log burning fire during the colder months. The low ceilings add to the inviting features as it helps to create a lower level of lighting associated with more traditional outlets.

The Old Bridge Inn is known locally as a place where good, traditional food can be found, or a place to go for a quiet relaxing drink.

Comfortable couches, with yet another real fire.

The old public bar area of the Bridge Inn has been knocked through to create a more open plan setting. This area is now made up of reclining couches that have proved very popular with people following a lovely meal. The real fire adds to the authentic atmosphere and the tendancy at weekends is to settle in and try the range of malt whiskies until closing time.
